Cole's Cycle is starting their 26th year in business! We started out in the shop behind my fathers house as Coles Cycle Sales. We sold Jawa and CZ. We also carried a line of dirt bikes made in Italy called Bronco. These bikes were made for younger kids. They ranged in sizes from a model called the FANTICHINO (fan-tee-kee-no) which was a 3HP-4-cycle engine, plus several other models. The 100cc Apache was the biggest bike they made. CZs were one of the fastest motocross bikes of the day in 1972, and are still very competitive in the AHRMA racing series. My dad closed the shop in 1973 only after 3 years. He didn't have the money to get into a major franchise at the time. Honda and Yamaha were starting to get into motocross with their Elsonores and YZs and the bigger street bikes. Ten years later in 1983, I opened Cole's Cycle Repair in the shop behind my home. I started out with $500 my dad loaned me and bought parts from Dennis Kirk. As the years have gone by we have tried to sell parts and accessories for every major brand of motorcycle, atv and scooter that they have produced, and we still do. We have since shortened the name to Cole's Cycle. Now we carry a full showroom of apparel and accessories in our new 3500 square foot show room. Whether it be for street, trail or track, we will have it. If we don't ,we can get most anything in one or two days! My wife Susie and I are a mom and pop store, which is very uncommon these days!!
